Restrict Multi Discount Codes — limit Shopify checkout promo codes

Limit how many discount codes and gift cards customers can apply at Shopify checkout.

Shopify Plus required. This app uses checkout UI extensions and only works on the Shopify Plus plan. See the App Store listing for details.

What it does

Section titled “What it does”
  • Discount code limit — blocks checkout when a customer applies more discount codes than you allow (default: 1).
  • Gift card limit — blocks checkout when a customer applies more gift cards than you allow (default: 1).

Both extensions show an informational banner when the customer is within the limit, and a critical banner plus checkout block when they exceed it. Messages are localized (15 languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean).

Requirements

  • Shopify Plus — checkout extensibility and the checkout editor are Plus features
  • Checkout editor access — to add and configure app blocks (see Setup)

Quick start

Section titled “Quick start”
  1. Install Restrict Multi Discount Codes from the App Store.
  2. Open the checkout editor and add the app blocks — see Setup.
  3. Set Maximum discount codes allowed and Maximum gift cards allowed in each block’s settings.
  4. Save and publish your checkout.
